Full Description
In August 2005, three test pits were dug for the Medway Valley Palaeolithic Project (2) in the gravel outcrop at Newhall Farm, mapped as T2 by the BGS, and attributed to Newhall Gravel by Bridgland (1). Four technologically undiagnostic flakes were found in TP 1, from sieve-sampling of undisturbed gravel between 1.5m and 3.5m below the ground-surface, with the gravel's base-level at c. 19m OD.
