A walkover survey took place at Shorncliffe Garrison in 2014 and identified various features from the 19th and 20th century. A military hospital training camp was prescent in 1870 and a number of the featuers are associated with this. Two manholes and a number of terraced areas are present dating to the 1930s onwards, They are observable as concrete structures. A terraced track is also observable dating to 1970 but is now overgrown and wooded. There are also a number of Military Camp training features such as trenches dating from 1914-1918. Significant goroups of trenches are present made up of standard traverse and zig-zag trenches as part on training. A brick structure is also present within the training area with signs of dereliction suggesting it was used for military purpose. There are also anti-invasion features present. These consist of more trenches, visible on 1940 aerial photographs, a number of banks, with a group of three surrounfing Martello tower.
