Full Description
Following a planning application for a Solar Farm at the site an archaeological evaluation was carried out between the 6th and the 21st August 2015. Post-medieval archaeological features and material were recovered in close proximity. The features inlcuded linear cuts, building material, and a probable post-medieval quarry. In the area post-medieval cermaic building tile fragments and a peg-tile have been found. A number of parallel linear cuts which were suggested to represent robbed out walls associated with a small structure. The probable quarry feature measure in excess of 14m long. (1)
