Monument record TQ 75 NE 984 - Post-medieval features, Hart Street/Broadway

Summary

A number of post-medieval features were identified during an archaeological excavation at Hart Street/Broadway in November 2014. The features range in date from c.1650 to c.1800. The features are mainly pits, with a collection of post-holes forming a rectangular shape. Dating of the features comes from a number of pottery sherd finds within the features, as well as a coin (1723). Other finds include small iron objects, animal bone, fragments of peg tile and clay pipes.
