Modern underground structures, considered Second World War air raid shelters, discovered during a watching brief in May 2015. The structures were constructed of pre-fabricated concrete panels and lintels, with brick passages.

Full Description

Modern underground structers, considered Second World War air raid shelters discovered during a watching brief in May 2015. These structures survive at a depth of approximately 0.6m below present ground level. The majority of the structures (based on discrete test pitting) are constructed of pre-fabricated concrete panels, with the roofing being concrete lintels. Passages of brick, with steel and wooden supporting structures were also revealed during the test-pitting. (1)
