Findspot record TQ 65 NE 416 - Pottery Sherds (Medieval and Post Medieval), West Malling Abbey

Summary

During an archaeological evaluation at West Malling Abbey in September-October 2015, five small archaeological test pits were excavated. Pottery sherds were recovered from all test pits. A number of pottery sherd finds dating from 1100 to the 18th to 19th century were recovered from a single test pit (Test Pit 2). These represented the earliest pottery sherds recovered during the evaluation. It is noted that the sherds should be considered unstratified.
