Full Description
During an archaeological evaluation at West Malling Abbey in September-October 2015, five small archaeological test pits were excavated. Pottery fragments were found in four of the test pits. 18th-19th century wares including creamware (1740-1830), post- medieval red earthernware (PMR 1580-1900), English stoneware (1700-1900) and blue and white transfer printed ware (1780-1900) were discovered in Test pit 4. Exact quantaties of each type of pottery was not clearly identified within the corresponding report. (1)
