Full Description
Quex Park, Birchington was used as a Voluntary Aid Hospital from October 1914 - January 1919. It was run by VAD Kent/178 and had 79 beds. Initially it was staffed by Westgate VAD detachment but in November 1914 the Birchington detachment took over.. There were three wards which were situated in the drawingroom and the two galleries. The house is currently open to the public.
