Monument record TQ 64 SW 232 - Remains of Herring's Mill

Summary

The remains of Herrings Mill [visible on early OS maps] were located during a survey of Snipe Wood. By 1869 at least the Mill had been disused (OS map 1869 marks Herring's Mill as disused). The survey found the presence of rubble, a well, banks and platforms linked to a mill pond with a remaining culvert through the pond bay.
