Monument record TR 14 NW 113 - Land at Thorn Street, Stone Street, Stelling Minnis, Kent
Summary
Swale and Thames Archaeological Survey Company undertook a desk-based assessment of land at this site prior to proposed development. The assessment identified a high potential for Romano-British archaeology at this site given the presence of the adjacent Roman road, finds near to the proposed development area (PDA), crop marks (former field boundaries), finds, and a possible large Roman building to the south of the PDA along with associated earthworks.
