Monument record TQ 77 NW 1253 - Area B of Curtis's and Harvey Ltd Explosives Factory, Cliffe

Summary

Used for acid-handling, guncotton preparation and utilities. The western portion is dominated by a number of conctrete building foundations laid out on both sides of the main east-west road, and often including many plinths and tanks that were probably used for acid-handling and guncotton preparation. Also features a rifle range (buildings 33 and 34). The south-eastern portion contains a zone of administrative and support buildings, and the north-east further utilities and warehouses.
