Monument record TR 34 SW 1287 - Post Medieval layers located below Castle Street, Dover

Summary

During a watching brief carried out by Canterbury Archaeological Trust in 1998, traces of earlier street metalling’s were located directly beneath the modern road level. These rested upon a thick dump deposit (location accurate to the nearest 10m based on available information).
