From the report:"The present excavation suggests that features G10135 and G10236 formed part of a sub‐rectangular enclosure or field‐system… While probably Roman the possibility remains that this represents the survival of part of a late Iron Age landscape that subsequently went out of agricultural use."

"Linear feature G10135 was also re‐identified and investigated in three locations (S20018; S20024 and S20038; see figures 4 & 5). These varied between 1‐1.2m in width, the deepest intervention, S20018, at some 0.52m at the north; the feature became shallower to the south, only 0.36m deep in S20024. The ditch was filled by deposits of mixed clay silts and silt clays that contained small quantities of chalk
and flint. A later re‐cut was indicated by S20013 and S20035 again filled by deposits of mixed clay silts with Roman pottery recovered from S20013 together with a small quantity of animal bone.

A ditch terminal (G10136: S2005) was excavated some 18m to the north‐west of G10135 (see figures 4 & 5). Measuring some 0.5m wide, 2.24m long and 0.18m deep, this lay on the same alignment as G10135 and was backfilled with silt clay that contained burnt flint and flint inclusions." (1)
