Monument record TR 23 NW 716 - Evidence of 18th century wall footings and beach deposits, south of Kings Bridge Street, Folkestone

Summary

During a watching brief in 2000 an area of beach deposits and wall footings was found west of the Ark Café site. These contained pottery and clay pipe stems dating to c. 1725-1780. Also found was a long stretch of ragstone wall footings.
