Monument record TR 36 NE 690 - Possible Iron age or Roman enclosure, Ozengell

An aerial photograph and LiDAR analysis carried out in 2013 identified a possible Iron age or Roman rectilinear enclosure south-east of Ozengell Grange.

From the report:

"Traces of a possible Iron Age or Roman period rectilinear enclosure are visible as cropmarks on air
photos. The northern and southern sides are clearly visible and the fainter suggestion of a north-western corner suggest these were part of an enclosure."(1)

Ditches forming part of a rectilinear enclosure of uncertain date were visible as cropmarks in EARTH.GOOGLE.COM MAR-2022 ACCESSED 19-DEC-2023. They were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (2)

Fragments of perpendicular ditch, possibly part of an enclosure located at TR 3576 6545 which are visible on aerial photographs and mapped as part of the Historic England: Ramsgate HAZ project.(3)
