Full Description

An archaeological evaluation in 2013 found evidence of three possible prehistoric ditches and metalling in trenches 28 and 29 of the evaluation. The existence of the ditches had not been indicated by the earlier LiDAR survey and aerial photograph analysis. The tentative dating of the ditches as of prehistoric date was due to a single Roman sherd that weas found in the colluvium sealing the ditches. (1)
