Monument record TQ 67 SW 1465 - Possible Late Neolithic/ early Bronze Age Structure, Ebbsfleet

Summary

Archaeological investigations carried out as part of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link works in 2001 discovered a number of features which may represent the site of a late neolithic structure close to the Ebbsfleet river. This group consisted of a shallow kidney-shaped pit flanked by two curvilinear slots each contining three postholes. A shallow gully led from the pit towards the river. A spread of burnt flint and charcoal sealed the group. (location accurate to the nearest 1m based on available information)
