Full Description

Elmley Ferry hard marked on a chart of 1774, route of ferry should also be considered as a site as archaeological deposits will have acululated as a result of activity on the surface. (9)
Hard and piles marking access route to Elmley Ferry are visable on AP's (1-8). Site identified during 2002 survey and comprises a raised causeway topped by a double row of vertical piles. At end of causeway [at low water mark] two talll vertical poles mark the end. Causeway now utilised by partially buried cables (10).
