Full Description

A channel or ditch, 2.5m wide and 0.5 m deep, filled by desiccated and compacted peat deposit, 208, was cut into the top of the blue/grey Upper Clay-Silt. The channel was aligned approximately from south-east to north-west, parallel to the current course of the Ebbsfleet. A brown clay sediment appeared to have been washed into desiccation cracks within the peat. [1]
