Southfleet, One Tree Field; surface-finds of numerous Palaeolithic material in the late 19th century (8 handaxes and 11 flakes), part of Stopes Collection at National Museum and Gallery of Wales; recorded by Roe in the 1960s (1) then listed in the Southern Rivers Project in the 1990s (2). Handaxes are of varying shapes, including ovate and pointed (3). TQ 615719 Findspot of a Lower Palaeolithic handaxe in Upper Chalk. (4)
