Full Description
A series of prehistoric pits and pot hole features from the excavated area, with several containing debitage and worked flint diagnostically dated to late Mesolithic - Early Neolithic activity on the site. It is suggested that these features relate to a period of tree and shrub clearance at this location. A series of post holes are demonstrably after this initial tree clearance phase but probably represent an ongoing occupation at this place.[1]
