Monument record MWX43243 - Cluster of WWII defences containing three military features located within a larger military site at Kingsgate
Summary
A circular gun pit with an internal diameter measuring 2.4m and constructed from earth; a sub-rectangular mound of earth with an unknown function; and a square structure measuring 3m squared. Less than 25m to the east is an L-shaped slit trench measuring 6.3m and is almost entirely surrounded with a bank. These are located within a larger military site at Kingsgate, and mapped from military aerial photographs.
