Full Description
A possible WWII gun emplacement, situated beside the beach on Sandwich Bay, north of Deal, and mapped from military aerial photographs. The circular gun emplacement has a diameter of 8.4m with a central structural pintle on which the gun was attached.
This feature was first visible in and mapped from military aerial photographs taken in August 1941 [1] and was gone by August 1943 [2].
