Full Description
A WWII gun emplacement located beside anti-tank cubes (MKE41946) north of Deal. The circular emplacement measures 8m in diameter and has a central pintle on which the gun would be attached. The feature was mapped from military aerial photographs taken in June 1942 [1], but it was first visible in February 1941 [2]. By February 1946 [3] the feature is out of use and is visible on as an earthwork, but by June 1980 [4] it has been entirely levelled.
