Full Description

First observed using military aerial photographs from June 1942 [1]. Spanning a distance of 50m the twenty four cube's of reinforced concrete create an obstruction between the railway station wall near the and the western dock in Dover. They cover a narrow section of track to the beach where a small boat yard and small vessels are laid up. It is the third phase in defence throughout the duration of the war observed until April 1947 [2], behind a scaffold beach structure Mwx43488 and a Type 22 Pillbox Mke42061/Mke16962. The cubes were observed as removed by April 1950 [3].

A transcription of the features recorded from aerial photographs exists within a GIS layer held by this HER.
