Monument record MWX43563 - WWI firing range, Dover

Summary

WWI firing range visible in 1941, 1945 and 1946, located in Dover. The ditches were just visible as parchmarks in 1978 and some of the earthworks were still visible in 2007. A section of WWI trenching was arranged along the firing range itself, though this trenching may represent WWI dugouts which form part of the range itself, or reuse of existing trenching.
