A bank and a short length of ditch are visible as earthworks lying in a field immediately south of the North Stream on 1940s RAF vertical aerial photographs [1].

The bank is c.9m wide and runs fro c.200m around nearly 1/3 of the perimeter of the field in which it lies, turning away from this course and curving into the centre of the close to its north-westerly edge. A ditch lies 10m to the west of the bank and follows a straight ESE-WNW alignment for c.50m before running into the adjacent field drain. These features are likely to relate to the boundary and water management features shown in the area on historic Ordnance Survey mapping and probably represent an previously unrecorded element of this system [2]. This system is likely to be medieval or early-post medieval in date.
