Monument record MWX43674 - WWII military site, Walmer
Summary
WWII military site visible in 1942, located in Walmer. This site was comprised of a slit trench, a small c-shaped bank open to the S and an enclosing bank which zigzagged around the site in the N,W and S. The E side was enclosed by an existing field boundary. The slit trench and small internal bank were still visible in 1946, but the outer bank was no longer visible. Next Perspectives photography taken in 2003 showed the site to be absent.
