Summary

Ditched cropmarks of unknown date or function, visible in 1976 and 1988, located in Walmer. Nine cropmarks were seen; eight were irregularly shaped areas, while the final cropmark was a C-shaped ditch with the open end facing E. None of the features were visible in 2003.

Full Description

Ditched cropmarks of unknown date or function, visible on aerial photography taken in 1976 and 1988 [1 and 2], located in Walmer. The area of cropmarks measured 295 x 250m at maximum dimensions. Nine cropmarks were seen; eight were irregularly shaped areas between 2.5m and 62m at maximum dimensions, while the final cropmark was a C-shaped ditch with the open end facing E, this ditch was approximately 18m long. None of the features were visible on Next Perspectives photography taken in 2003 [3].

Located 62m to the E was a cropmark (MWX43685) which was visible on the same photography and which may be related.
