WWII ditch of unknown function visible in 1942 and 1946, located in Walmer. This ditch was an irregular oval. The feature was visibly degrading in 1946 and absent in 2003.

Full Description

WWII ditch of unknown function visible on aerial photographs taken in 1942 and 1946 [1 and 2], located in Walmer. This ditch was an irregular oval and measured 22 x 15m at maximum dimensions. This feature was visibly degrading on aerial photography taken in 1946 and Next Perspectives photography taken in 2003 [4] showed the site to be absent.

A length of barbed wire (MWX43668) ran roughly 34m to the E and S of this feature. A military site was located 100m to the N (MWX43667).
