Monument record MWX43703 - Earthworks, including possible enclosures, Hacklinge

Summary

Earthworks, including possible enclosures, seen as cropmarks of banks and ditches, visible in 1980 and 1946, located in Hacklinge. Nine ditches and five banks were visible as cropmarks within one field. In this field a ‘Bronze Age occupation site’ (MKE7449) (NMR 468665) is known to have existed. Therefore it is possible the mapped features are the remains of the Bronze Age site. These features were partially, but not clearly, visible in 2003. Three ditches were clearly visible in 2007.
