Summary
A Second World War pillbox is visible on aerial photographs of 1946 on the seafront at what was then the northern end of St Marys Bay. This feature was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the South East RCZAS NMP project.

Full Description
The pillbox is centred at TR 0948 2813, and measures approximately five metres across. It appears to be a Type 24 pillbox. The pillbox is in close proximity to other Second World War defensive features, such as another Type 24 pillbox to the south-west (Monument Number 1535484), and a road block to the SSW (Monument Number 1535576). By the time of vertical aerial photographs of 1983; the pillbox appears to have been removed (1-2).
