Summary

A pair of Second World War slit trenches or possible air raid shelters visible as earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1946, though the site has been levelled on aerial photographs taken in 1966. The site comprises two L shaped ditches with spoil heaps on both sides. The western slit trench seems to have been backfilled on aerial photographs taken in 1946, and is visible as cropmarks. This site has been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP (Component 2).
