Full Description
The arrangement of vertical anti-aircraft poles, intended to hinder landing, is centred at TR 0839 2621, in the area of the golf course known as The Warren. The poles extend across an area measuring approximately 170m east to west, and 70m north to south. The plan view of the poles consists of what appears to be an incomplete hexagonal shape. Two further areas of anti-aircraft poles are also visible on aerial photographs of 1940, located to the south and south-west of this group (Monument Numbers 1535072, 1535073). By the time of the vertical aerial photographs of 1941; these anti-aircraft obstructions appear to have been removed (1-2).
