Summary

Site of a Second World War light anti aircraft (Diver) battery south-west of Botolphs Bridge. This was armed with twelve 40mm guns, and was manned by 445 Battery of 135 Anti Aircraft Regiment when it was redeployed from TR119328 on 2nd August 1944. It formed part of the Littlestone Section of 43 Anti Aircraft Brigade Light Anti Aircraft Artillery. This site was viewed on historical aerial photographs where diffuse and unclear cropmarks or parchmarks on the ground were visible suggesting the location of the battery.
