Monument record TQ 97 SE 58 - Probable Trackway, Vicarage Road, Minster-in-Sheppey

Summary

An extensive area of pebble metalling which sealed an earlier ditch (TQ 97 SE 57). Roof-tile fragments found suggest that it is later than the 14th century and was still open in the 17th century. Believed to have been associated with the nearby Minster Abbey (TQ 97 SE 1). It is unclear how this trackway related to archaeological features found in the area in 1995 (TQ 97 SE 55).
