Very numerous Palaeolithic finds (mostly handaxes, but also Levallois flakes, flake-tools and debitage) from pit on east side of New Hythe Lane, collected by Dr Roach in the early 1930s and held at Maidstone Museum Summary from record TQ 75 NW 192: Lower to middle Palaeolithic finds were discovered at New Hythe Lane Pits. The investigator was Benjamin Harrison.
