Abstract/Summary
Excavation work north of Holy Trinity Church identified two main phases of activity, a pre-cemetery and a cemetery phase. In the pre-cemetery phase, a north-south running Roman Ditch was recorded. In the Cemetery phase, four layers of post-medieval burials were recorded. Only 2 complete skeletons were recovered, the remaining 45 had all been affected by truncation and were incomplete. An 18th century brick built vault was also identified on site and recorded.
