Title | West of Church Road, Singlewell, Kent: Archaeological Evaluation Report |
---|---|
Author/Originator | Oxford Archaeological Unit |
Date/Year | 1997 |
Abstract/Summary
Evaluation works along part of the Channel Tunnel railway. Two bronze age pits and a possible post hole were found along with a number of shallow gullies interpreted as field boundaries. These could be of bronze age date, as they are in the same location as the pits, but could also be of early medieval date. Two probable quarries found were thought to be of post-medieval date.
