Abstract/Summary
Evaluation report, Fremlin Walk, Maidstone, phases 2 & 3.Cobbled floors, walls, drain (ceramic pipe), brick built manhole, Kentish ragstone wall, post nmedieval basement, brick drain capped with slate tiles, large oval pit (C20th), two post medieval pits, post holes, cess pit cut by cirular brick lined soak away (C18-19th). Wooden coffin (post AD 1660), containing juvenile skeleton and wooden vessel. Finds ranging from Roman to post-medieval were found (pottery, animal bone, shell and tile fragments).
