Abstract/Summary

Report of an archaeological evaluation by the MoLAS on behalf of Union Railways. Late Bronze Age ditch and pit discovered. The majority of features, 36 pits, ditches, structural trenches and 2 hearths date from the Late Iron Age to early Roman. Possible field system and boundary ditch to the east. Pottery, ceramic building material and daub date from the Late Iron Age to the early Roman period. Residual flint found across site.
