Abstract/Summary
                An excavation within Christ Church Gate, the principal public entranceway into the precincts of Canterbury Cathedral. The work was carried out as part of a scheme to manage vehicular access into the precincts. A foundation pit was cut within the gateway, together with a service trench leading from the gateway to a mains power supply at No 1 The Precincts.
