Abstract/Summary
Report on an archaeological evaluation undertaken by Canterbury Archaeological Trust on land to the rear of 5 High Street, Whitstable. No significant archaeological deposits relating to the Roman or medieval development of Whitstable were noted. The majority of post-medieval activity largely comprised the levelling up of the area. Metalled surfaces and a well associated with properties fronting the High Street were noted in test-pits 4 and 2 respectively.
