Title | An Archaeological Evaluation at Land West of Eden Farm Lane, West Malling, Kent |
---|---|
Author/Originator | Archaeology South-East |
Date/Year | 2019 |
Abstract/Summary
Trial trenching evaluation in advance of proposed redevelopment. The evaluation uncovered evidence of postholes, pits, possible hearths or ovens and one or more ditches, all probably dating to the Early/Middle Iron Age. A Late Iron Age/Roman ditch in the west of the site ran on a similar alignment to Lavenders Road, potentially suggesting that this alignment was in use at an early date. No associated features were recorded
