Monument record TQ 65 NE 447 - Iron Age occupation features, land west of Eden Farm Lane
Summary
An archaeological evaluation carried out in 2019 found postholes, pits, probable hearths/ovens and ditches dating to the early/middle Iron Age. No coherent structures could be identified although a possible boundary ditch demarking the eastern extent of the activity was seen. A late iron age/Roman ditch in the west of the site ran parallel to Lavenders Road suggesting the road may have been on an early alignment.
