Abstract/Summary
Infilled pit relating to the extraction of fuller's earth. It does not appear on the OS map series, so must predate the buildings and grounds to the east, which are of late 19th or early 20th century date. Residual late bronze age/ early iron age pottery sherd and two possible worked flints also recorded.
