Abstract/Summary
Report on three trenches dug prior to work for extension of the former C&A department store. Only one trench produced anything of significance with a series of post-medieval walls and about 75 pieces of reused medieval carved architectural stone-work, including three peices showing human figures. The other two either producing nothing or the arcaheology that had been precent had been destroyed by later building work.
