Title | An Archaeological Evaluation at the Cattle Market, Market Way, Canterbury |
---|---|
Author/Originator | Canterbury Archaeological Trust |
Date/Year | 1998 |
Abstract/Summary
Evaluation of proposed development area. All trenches, bar one, produced archaeological features. The features were almost all pits, either rubbish or cess, and although contained a minimal amount of artefactual material, their similarity suggests that they are all from the same period and early medieval in date. There was no evidence of Roman kilns on the site.
