Abstract/Summary
During the renovation of 166-7 Snargate an archaeological watching brief took place. The opportunity was taken to examine the site at the base of the old cliffes in a region which had constituted part of the town centre of Victorian Dover. The observations revealed terracing in the cliffs which the back yards lay upon, also a series of post medieval soils were seen. There was also a cellar was revealed, possibly relating to the old Beehive Inn.
