Title Results of Archaeological Monitoring of Geotechnical Investigations, East of Lowfield Street, Dartford
Author/Originator
Date/Year Nov 2004

Abstract/Summary

Archaeological monitoring during the excavation of test pits in advance of geotechnical works as part of a mitigation strategy for the redevelopment of the site known as East of Lowfield Street. The majority of layers seen in the test pits seem to relate to post-medieval dumping, however a possible wall of potentially earlier date was identified in Test Pit 107.
